Unnamed Trail Behind Joya Loop in White Rock

Between two houses on Joya Loop, marked only by a faded “Motor Vehicles Prohibited” sign, is the entrance to a small wilderness area. (It can also be entered from Meadow between Joya Loop and Overlook.)

From the Joya Loop entrance, turn immediately right following tire tracks. This will quickly converge with a trail heading west. The trail ends at the arroyo. If you follow the arroyo westward, you’ll pass by a cliff face peppered with ever-changing sandstone caves. Past this cliff face is a pipe from which water enters the arroyo, and flows a very short distance before falling off an extremely high cliff, forming the waterfall which is visible from Overlook Park.
